Bush now claims that he doesn't take the Bible literally and does believe in evolution and thinks evolution is compatible with the bible. Dumb Christians got pwned like their dumb Christian asses always do. Those fools followed Bush blindly, praying for war and death, all because a man said he believed in Jesus.

Remove Christians and the world will be a better place. When's that damn rapture their all so excited about supposed to happen?

Religion attracts incredibly lazy minds.

Let's get real.

No, my mind is free. Keep getting on your knees and worshiping your Jesus.

I don't go to church and don't get "on my knees" to worship Jesus, but that doesn't mean that I think that those who do should be exterminated and I don't think down on them.

Judging by your anger, I would imagine that you could possibly use some "Jesus" in your life, however.

There's a difference between a race and a cult.

Uh... why?

Calling for the extermination of anything involving hundreds of millions of people indicates there's something seriously wrong with you.

Is it better to kill one person or let that one person go on to kill one hundred people. Christians kill more people than anyone else, therefor they need to be removed. They all want to go home to their make believe maker anyway, so we'd actually be helping them.

Wow this post is very sad.

I find it funny how people think that if you are religious, you can't believe that evolution is fact. OF course, Adam and Eve probably did not exist as how they did in the bible but evolution has nothing to do with creation and does not disprove a supreme being. Nor does it disprove that God created the world and gave it life.

What about being Christian means I follow Bush blindly? What about believing in Jesus means I pray for war and death?

And Jewish is not a race.

WHAT!? Killers kill people, regardless of religion.

I think all that Bush's statement does is confirms he truly is an idiot. No Christian could be that stupid.

It was pretty obvious that Bush was only becoming a "born again" Christian because he felt that his father lost re-election for not being one (and also not going far enough with the Iraq War).

it's a race and a religion.

Are Jews a Race?

In the 1980s, the United States Supreme Court ruled that Jews are a race, at least for purposes of certain anti-discrimination laws. Their reasoning: at the time these laws were passed, people routinely spoke of the "Jewish race" or the "Italian race" as well as the "Negro race," so that is what the legislators intended to protect.

But many Jews were deeply offended by that decision, offended by any hint that Jews could be considered a race. The idea of Jews as a race brings to mind nightmarish visions of Nazi Germany, where Jews were declared to be not just a race, but an inferior race that had to be rounded up into ghettos and exterminated like vermin.

But setting aside the emotional issues, Jews are clearly not a race.

Race is a genetic distinction, and refers to people with shared ancestry and shared genetic traits. You can't change your race; it's in your DNA. I could never become black or Asian no matter how much I might want to.

Common ancestry is not required to be a Jew. Many Jews worldwide share common ancestry, as shown by genetic research; however, you can be a Jew without sharing this common ancestry, for example, by converting. Thus, although I could never become black or Asian, blacks and Asians have become Jews (Sammy Davis Jr. and Connie Chung).

Wow, I have never thought about putting someone on ignore, beacuse it would just make reading posts weird, but this thread is seriously making me think about it. I might be over reacting but calling for the extermination of a entire population of people deserves a ban in my opinion.

you can believe whatever you want, but if you're talking about christianity it does take a double standard. in the same way science proves evolution it also for practical purposes proves everything in the bible relevant to the validity of christianity is mythology.

that said, evolution-believing christians are certainly a step in the right direction, generally less likely to advocate causes that undermine science, and deserve much more intellectual respect than dogmatic fundamentalists. they certainly don't deserve to die : )

i though george bush sr. was christian. he certainly advocated christian causes such as prayer in school.

either way he lost mainly because he lied when he said "read my lips.."

I am considering alerting the authorities to the original post. The poster is given a chance to retract, and instead he expounds on his original call to violence. Perhaps the poster should be on some law enforcement watch list so there can be a lead if he decided to start acting on his calls for extermination.

I realize the OP is probably just another product of our desensitized society, but one can never be too sure, can they?

I'm no biblical scholar, but I believe that you are taking the Old Testament writings and apply them to everybody who believes in Jesus Christ. Plus, there is the whole "evolution doesn't explain the origin of life" problem that nobody can answer in any controlled setting.

well yeah, that's exactly what i'm doing. it requires an obvious intrinsic double standard to disbelieve genesis/exodus etc based on empirical evidence and also believe metaphysical claims in the NT are fact.

Plus, there is the whole "evolution doesn't explain the origin of life" problem that nobody can answer in any controlled setting.

you mean nobody has answered, not nobody can. there's no reason to think science won't eventually find a purely physical explanation for abiogenesis. there are already a few theories out there that could potentially work in principal.

anyway arguments for design are irrelevant to the historicity of the bible, since the designer could be any god.

Maybe you should go back to BBF, you'd be happier, they'll ban anybody for any reason.

George H.W. Bush was a Christian, but he felt becoming born again would be fake. George W. Bush, after losing in his congressional race, supposedly didnt' want to get "Out-Texaned", and becoming a born again Christian in a state where part of the evangelical bible belt is in, was part of that, and obviously Bush and Rove used that to get Bush elected for president...and of course governor before that.

What I enjoy is that DaRizzle's icon is the album cover of an album with a song on it about how terrible Las Angeles is and that California needs to sink into the ocean.
