The Texas Legends, presented by Veracruz (visit Veracruz.mx), traveled to Reno to take on the Bighorns in their first and only matchup of the season. PJ Hairston tallied a season-high 45 points, but the Legends couldn't defend Reno's hot shooting in the final minutes.
The Legends got off to a hot start, going up by as many as 14 in the first quarter, but lost control heading into the second. Coming out of the locker room Texas was down by 13, but outscored Reno 37-27 in the third to stay in the game. The Legends held on tight in the final quarter, fighting toward a comeback, but the Bighorns slipped away finishing off the victory 124-115. Texas shot 100% from the free throw line, but slipped below 50% overall as the Bighorns hit 56% on the night.

Hairston had a game-high 45 points, 3 rebounds and 3 steals. Melvin Ely added 22 points, 7 rebounds and 2 blocked shots. Tajuan Porter came off the bench to lead the Bighorns with 23 points, 2 rebounds and 4 assists.

The Legends will return home to host the Rio Grande Valley Vipers this Friday and Saturday at 7pm. Both games will be broadcast live on television--KTXD 47--and radio--KVCE 1160am. For tickets or information call 214-469-0822 or visit www.TexLegends.com.
