Discuss burgers. Have you been to Five Guys in Beaverton yet? I've been, its pretty beefy for a burger.

What else is new on the burger horizon?

The best burgers are made at my crib. I buy aged angus 1/3 lb patties and grill them to perfection. Some bacon & cheese don't hurt, either.

Five Guys is damn good. Great fries there too.

I love burgers. They are the shit, especially when you are baked. Wendy's and Harvey's has amazing burgers and so does Burger King. I bought that fucking Billy Mayes Big City Slider station:

Anyway, I use that and I make like 10 burgers at a time and I just munch out.

The Krispy Kreme burger looks disgusting but I actually want to try one, just a little smaller. I'm thinking it might taste something like a bacon cheese burger with a King's Hawaiian bun.

Lmao, as soon as I posted and said Big City Slider, the ad changed to advertise that product. They should pay me.

I love cheeseburgers. Fast food ones are okay, but properly grilled ones, like at a diner, bar & grill or a backyard/park grill, can be some of the best eating experiences, to me.

Grilled sandwiches are also awesome.

Agreed. Repped.

Generally, I don't concern myself with what happens afterwards.

My favorite, though, is the bonsai burger at Red Robin. Gotta love the steak fries, as well. :pimp:

I'm not a big burger guy myself, but I think both my mom and stepfather would agree with the person who said in another thread that Cafe Castagna makes the best burgers in town.

I like most burgers. Beef. Buffalo. Turkey. Chicken. You name it. Especially when grilled on a Traeger Grill for that good smokey taste.

5 guys rocks, especially for how good of a burger you can get, and how fast you get it. The Cajun fries are awesome, there is nothing like looking at the bag with hot grease seeping through it from the fresh cooked fries!

I'm fucking hungry for a good burger right now. Fuck me and English homework.

oh yeah, i love Burger Ville Spread..their regular cheeseburgers or their collosal...with extra spread. so damn good!

It's the only thing I get at Red Robin. I go "carbless", though, and get the lettuce wrap. Makes one heckuva mess.

And RR is the first restaurant I've been to that pulled out the calories, fat and sodium list for every single thing on the menu. Kind of sobering.

check out:
http://portlandhamburgers.blogspot.com/

it's a local blog on hamburgers and it's a very good read.

i've always loved me some burger love, but in the last year or so my cravings have gone through the roof.

here are my 3 plateau's of burgers:
1. Homemade: just about anything made at home is ALWAYS the best; beef, turkey, veggie, buffalo...doesnt matter.
2. Restaurant/Bar: my faves in portland are from Pause (nopo), cafe castagna (se), slow bar (se grand). gourmet buns, strawberry mtn beef, these are the art of hamburgers.
3. Fast Food: Five Guys certainly is the best in town, i swore off Burgerville after like 4 freakin bad experiences there (messed up orders, service, taste, etc.). i actually hit up the 24-hr McD on Burnside last weekend and got a Qtr Pounder, it was quite amazing. had been years and it was good.

for you home-made types...what's in your patties? do you use ground meats from a butcher (different cuts of steak ground up on the spot and mixed)?

I was wondering about the hype of the strawberry mountain beef......i had that in Portland when I was there over the holidays.....forgot where though.

I remember when Five Guys was a small chain in the DC area. The fact they've opened one up across the street from where my wife works in Denver and now one in the Portland area is just not good for my LDLs.

5 Guys Rocks

McMenimans are very good

My fave, ironically, McCormick and Schmick. Fantastic!
