I've never seen that movie...only the clips of him chopping up the door and looking crazed..I've never seen the Shinng or Carrie or It or quite a few S King movies....never was a real fan...I did see Misery...,

The Shining is a Stanley Kubrick movie.

And the exterior shots were filmed at Timberline Lodge on Mt Hood.

IMO it's the best of the King movies because of the director.

A series of free concerts are held in Golden Gate Park in SF every summer (but not last year). Some years ago San Francisco Opera performed on July 4th and preceded program with the national anthem. Most amazing rendition I have heard, I mean, they could hold a note!
