It's real.

I was afraid of that...It still amazes me as to how so many people still buy into Trump's BS.

...and my Brother, who's actually a smart guy, is one of them, and he even proclaimed this past weekend that if "Trump were still POTUS, Russia would have never invaded Ukraine."

...I shit you not.

I lost my Dad in 1998 and though it was a crushing blow at the time, I've had many people tell me since then, that when you lose your Mom, somehow it's MUCH worse.

It was worse to lose my mom. I think mostly it was the element of surprise. My dad's passing wasn't much of a surprise. He has smoked for 50 years and was deep into emphysema and copd. The doctor gave him 6 months and he lasted two years.

My mom was different. She was pretty healthy. Didn't drink or smoke. She was never a smoker. She quick drinking decades ago. She did have minor cirrhosis from her drinking days, but got checked multiple times a year. In fact she had just got checked and was ok. Then all of a sudden in a day, she had Lukemia and was gone. So yeah, a bit more a surprise and a bit harder.

Then there is the bond I guess too. It's a little different between a father and son and a mother in son.
