We got engaged last valentine's Day at the Trevi Fountain in Rome.

I got her a $35 sweater this year.

A few Valentine's Days ago... took the wife out for a 7 miles ride on this totally kickass Blazers cyclo (xích lô). Don't think my LP on the cyclo is as douchey as the Tesla's.

And, @THE HCP, is Blazers broadcasting going to bring back the "Where in the World" segment (I loved that segment)? Was going to send this photo in (I have other even more goofy ass photos!).View attachment 36885

That's a cyclo. Thailand has their tuk tuk, and Vietnam has their xich lo. Used to be the primary taxi service for people to get around, but now it's just to ride tourists around for sightseeing.

After riding that thing (talking about the xich lo, not the wife), I gained mad respect for those dudes that do it for a living. I’m strong and has fairly good endurance, but I was gassed after the 7 miles ride.

The xich lo is not actually mine (I’m looking to get one here if I can find it to ride my preggo wife around lol). Bought it for this older gentleman when I heard his was wrecked by some idiot tourist. He was very grateful and wanted to put my and my wife’ initials on the plate. I had that Blazers plate made instead.

Never heard of a cyclo. Is it basically a really cool looking rickshaw thats pushed from behind? Does it have gears to help going up hills? 7 miles pushing that thing would be tough. Good way to get in shape though.

Since I’m getting to geezerdom soon, I want to ask you (it’s VD so I won’t use old geezers) older gentlemen what’s your special sauce to keep the relationship nice and healthy when the… lusting for each other is completely gone?

Long road trips by yourself or with a buddy. Absence truly does help the heart grow fonder. And having a dog helps, especially one that gets upset when Mom and Dad bicker. That shuts the sniping down right now. And stupid as it may sound, there’s nothing like a little adversity to help a couple pull together.....not that we actively seek adversity. But it’s hard to avoid at times. But in general, I still find my wife incredibly physically attractive......whether I can always act on it or not. And.....as we both agreed long ago, who the hell else is going to put up with us? So we just roll our eyes at each other and get on with the business of being married.......

The Cyclo is cool man. Love the plate. Can't see the pedals. You stand on the back and pedal? Not a seat back there right?

There’s a seat back there. No gears. It’s a bitch to pedal. I don’t know how those guys can put in up to 50 miles in a day on that thing. Most of them are half my size.

Damn so with the weight of the Cyclo and a passenger you pedaling a couple hundred pounds up a hill. Those dudes have to be cut. Their bodies must be like bricks doing that all the time.
