who lost 5 rotation players due to injuries in the same season, of which at least 2 were starters (3 if you count Oden as one)?

I believe that is what happened to New Orleans a couple of years back, and got jackhammered.

Utah juggled their lineup quite a bit last year w/ all the injuries they had. Their injuries weren't as severe though since many came back towards end of the season.

Can we just combine rosters with Golden St. and contract them from the league for this season since at this time we have the better record? Is there any such exemption in the CBA?

Good thing we have team depth. :D

washington got hit hard last year, and failed to crack 20 wins

They might struggle to win 20 games THIS year, and they aren't hit with many injuries.

Plus, I don't think their injuries (talent level, etc) compares.

well, they lost their starting pg, starting pf and starting AND backup centers for most of the season, seems pretty comparable.

the nets this season. i mean they are pretty bad but they've lost a lot of their rotation players.

why would oden potentially not count as a starter?

All these injuries and we are not even half way through the season!

Has any team ever lost BOTH of its centers in the same month, to the same injury??

I don't pay enough attention to other teams... but this just seems over the top. Having two centers crash to the floor with their kneecaps in the wrong place... I am sure there are many cases where both centers were out... but I don't recall anything like this.

This thread raises an interesting question. How long do franchises tend to hold onto the same medical staff? They seem to outlast coaching and even front office regimes, but I could be wrong. The reason I ask is because certain teams seem to be hammered year in and year out by injuries (i.e. Golden State and Washington, going back longer than I can remember), while others sail on by. It could just be perception being biased by how significant the injuries are, who knows.

Both Przybilla and Oden went down wearing the red jersey and after playing Miami the game before.

Golden State has lost Brendon Wright, Andris Biedrins, Turiaf, Azubuike, Raja Bell, Speedy Claxton, CJ Watson & Devean George for at least stretches this season... thats 8 guys

Detroit has lost Prince, Ben Gordon, RIP, Chickie Atkins & Chris Wilcox (thats 5) for stretches this year as well

whats happened injury-wise to the Blazers sucks but isn't unprecedented prior to this year either.
