HELP! Backup my comp

Ok, so my computer has been bad for awhile and it finally got a virus that screwed it all up. Tomorrow I'm going to use a backup to just bring over my iTunes and my pics(since i make sigs/avys) and I was wondering if it would bring the virus over too!? Please help! Thanks

Probably. I'd quarantine the shit. I'm far from a computer whiz though.
