I am going to go up there late July/early August (don't know exact date yet) as they are, finally, interviewing me for a position at the new Hillsboro facility. I can't stay in standard hotels since I can't tolerate chemical/scented cleaners.

Can anyone suggest a chemical/scent free hotel or bed & breakfast? Anyone have a spare room (I'll bring cookies)?

Other ideas?

I realize it's been a long long time since I've lived in P'town and am not sure if my personal contacts are still good.

Please reply or PM.

Gracias.

A B & B is your best bet. Motels all use chemicals.

Good luck on the interview!

Yeah, Marriott and other chains are absolutely off limits. Maris, PM me if you can think of a good B & B.

Thanks.

DaRizzle, please. You clearly have no understanding.

Sure, I can bring my own sheets, towels, soap, shampoo. What do I do about what they clean with? Or the "air fresheners" they spray? Furniture polish? Windex? Carpet cleaners? What about dry cleaning chemicals they launder draperies with?

Can you please accept that I am more familiar with my condition and needs than you are?

Or you could assume that DaRizzle was just trying to help.

I am not in his head. I don't know. But if there was an easy solution, don't you think I'd have thought of it myself in the past 20 odd years? Instead of asking for suggestions?

So, just assume he was being a jerk rather than trying to be helpful. That's an odd position considering how many nice things he's said about you and your baking on this forum.

You are a strangely aggressive and defensive person. What, in your upbringing, made you this way?

Are you a BubbleWoman? What condition?

Do we know if crandc is allergic to GHB? There has to be some residual remaining in that room.

haha, sometimes when i visit portland, since my family lives in the burbs, we get a hotel downtown if we're going to be drinking and stuff. my dad was warning me about this hotel because of ZBO incident and said it was a bad place to stay...we stayed here anyways since its pretty cheap.

I know a lot of lesbians, and I can say other than their sexual preference and their gender, there's little else on which you can say they're the same.
