Berry Henson frustrated Jay Bayron and a horde of gallery that ringed the 18th green with a near-perfect lob shot from 30 yards and made a pressure-packed three-foot par putt to beat the Filipino bet by one stroke for the ICTSI Philippine Open crown at Wack Wack’s East Course yesterday.

“It was my career’s best up-and-down,” said Henson, referring to that scrambling par on the final hole after he hacked his approach shot into the thick rough on the right side of the green. “I’ve been working real hard on my short game and I told myself during that moment that all I need to do is to trust what I’ve been doing all week. And it came out perfectly.”
