Here's a Few Ways to Raise Taxes

Just a few suggestions for our next president...

1) Have a $25 tax on vehicles each year and dedicate the funds to interstate roades & bridges.

2) Tax all estates 15% from dollar 1.

3) Consider all injury settlements as fully taxable income (since plaintiff attorneys are so strong in Obama's camp, this will never happen). The result would be billions of new dollars.

4) Tax all vehicles an extra 25 cents per gallon of gas or diesel if the vehicle's gas milage is less than 20 mpg.

There, we just staved off the coming low & middle income tax increase and raised billions of new tax dollars for the government.

Vote for me.

I like the consumption tax more than anything. Get rid of income taxes and have a national sales tax. There are so many people out there that avoid paying taxes because they are paid off the books.

I like the consumption tax more than anything. Get rid of income taxes and have a national sales tax. There are so many people out there that avoid paying taxes because they are paid off the books.

Agreed. It's a radical idea, but the figures in support of it are quite compelling.

Here's another one.

A 2% sales tax that is 100% dedicated to the national debt.

I'd love a balanced budget amendment (with the proviso that it's suspended in event of a war or national emergency) and to set up a 50 year amortization schedule to retire our debt.

There's no better way to strengthen the dollar and to make our taxes work than to have them go to actual services rather than debt service.

My favorite idea for reigning in government spending is to end all automatic withholdings. If people had to write a check to the Federal Goverment every two weeks for part of their paycheck, you had better believe they'd watch how that money was being spent.

In other words, tax the common man who's struggling to hold onto his modest home, or pay his rent, and tax crime victims who win in court, and tax large families who need a large car.

This is McCain's record, and why he's losing.

It would not raise billions, not even close.
