Eighth-seeded Lleyton Hewitt has beaten Roger Federer for the first time in 16 matches to win the Gerry Weber Open title.

The 29-year-old Australian won the grass-court tournament 3-6, 7-6 (4), 6-4 Sunday in his first final of the season.
