Wouldn't it be better if there were polls instead of judging? Plus, I don't think you should hold so many battles at once. Leads to a lot of confusion, especially in this thread, when people are commenting on each other left and right.

^^ I think it should be done in the manner that after each person has posted say...3 verses (which I think is enough, I don't know how many back-and-forth verses can come out of 2 days of battling), people respond my choosing what they feel is the one BEST verse out of all the verses for both people and vote by dissecting them and choosing which one is better and why based on the criteria described. I think that'd be more fair and more logical since people are describing why they voted for who base don his criterias rather then just voting in a poll.

Yeah, that would work too. Its just I wanted to bring it up because I don't think it would really be fair if only one person made the decision on who advanced or whatever (no offense Brian). Oh, and I think it would be better if we organized all these into a subforum, it kinda clutters up the Hip Hop forum. Just my two cents.

Oh, the original plan was to have ONE person judge??

Honestly, that's not really a good idea as a lot of people may not agree to Brian's decision. I think everyone should be allowed to vote (JBB members that can acess this forum); however, each person has to compare the two people's best verses (or more so what THEY feel is the best verse) and then compare and contrast from there and cast thier vote. Whoever has the most votes after a certain amount of time (you guys pick the timings), wins the battle and moves on.

I don't think voters should be allowed to say "I vote for person A"...they must explain why they chose so.

And one thing about the judging, how are we supposed to judge flow Brian? Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't flow how the emcee rides a beat? We can't exactly hear them rapping it.

Good point. That wasnt the actual list of criterias. I was just giving an example. Hopefully I will add more areas and improve it a bit more. Anyways, any more discussion on the battles go in the discussion thread. Thanks.

You guys are getting the voting and stuff confused. The reason why I took out the polls is because it doesnt really take much thought. Anyone can just come in and pick a choice without even reading the battles. What I am planning is not to let one person vote. I want everyone to participate in the results and the ending. After 2 days or so, the battle will end, and everyone will get a chance to vote as to who you thought won the battle with the list of criterias.
