I listen to a lot of podcasts and a little while ago came upon Hardcore History by Dan Carlin.

It's really good, he reads dozens of sources on a topic before putting together an interesting production that brings history alive and also analyzes it through the filter of our modern society. I just got done with a five part, (more than ten hour) exploration ok Kahn (from the Mongols, not the Timberwolves) and his family line. Before that was a six part series on the death of the Roman Republic.

Anyway, I'm really digging this podcast and thought some of you might as well.

One suggestion, download early episodes first (death throes of the republic episode 34) because after some period of time they are no longer free, although still only 2.99 an episode. So if you are interested in the fall of the republic, download soon, otherwise you likely have six months till the wrath of Kahn episodes drop off the free list.
