I realized that since the Blazers were eliminated, I have barely taken any interest in the playoffs. I realized that at this point, I really don't care who wins.

Yeah, I have a slight preference for a Spurs/Pacers finals but not enough that I bother to watch games or follow closely the series.

Apparently when the Blazers season ended, so did mine.

Anyone else feel similar or am I just an oddity?

Gramps...

I like reading all the threads and posts about how much LMA sucks but we should be able to trade for multiple high lottery picks and sacks of gold.

The NBA is almost unwatchable. I love the Blazers though, and rarely miss any game

I only watch Blazers games. I've never had any interest in watching other teams play each other. I have little interest in players who are not Blazers. I watched a bit of game 4 but whatever

Just don't want OKC to win. After that I don't care

I'm a hoops junkie. I'll watch every game I can of the postseason.

It's usually the same for me.

I don't really give a rats ass about the NBA after the Blazers season is done but I'm rooting against LeBron.

Except this year, I'm rooting against the Zombie Sonics more.

I'm just watching bits of games here and there, rooting for the Spurs v. OKC and against The Lebrons.

I literally will not be able to watch a single minute of the finals if it is OKC v. The Lebrons.

It's OK. I have better things to do.

I just enjoy good basketball and we are getting that

I only watch teams that I care about, after that I really don't care. There was a point where I was so completely plugged in to every single sport because of my profession, but I got so burned out that I nearly stopped watching sports entirely. Honestly, I think the NBA is a joke, and if the Blazers ever left Portland I would stop watching completely.

What job was that?

Hoping the Spurs win it all (because they beat us) and hoping the Heat lose (because LeBron).
But not really caring all that much or watching more than a couple of minutes here or there.
Don't even have the draft to look forward to this year. Wake me up in October.

Is freelance writing for those sites really a profession, though? Seems like more of a side gig.

I wasn't freelancing for ESPN. I was an employee with a contract. Hoopsworld was a side gig.

Ah, got it. I knew you said you freelanced at one point.

Yeah, there wasn't really any money in writing for Hoopsworld. Just essentially a free pass into games. Fun but not at all profitable.

Repped! This is how I feel too. The NBA itself is a joke and a horrible product... but, if my Blazers are in... I wont miss a game. Once they are out, I avoid the NBA.

I watched the game, and honest to god, already forgot who won.

Amen brother.

OKC not winning it is priority #1. After that I am pulling for SA, Indiana, then Miami.
I will say having a team in there that I despise does help hold my interest once the Blazers go out.

I record and watch EVERY SINGLE playoff game! I'll do the same for summer league! #LoveTheGame

I visited Blazersedge tonight to see their take on the LMA trade talk. The "roundtable" was stupid to me, but the user comments were almost all pro-LMA. I'm beginning to think that S2 is the last refuge for anti-LMA fans who gets shunned/banned from other sites.

I will say that I saw nobody on BE who mentioned the likelihood of LMA re-signing in Cleveland, which is a negative for that community. At least here, the dumber trade ideas are typically shouted down with a heavy dose of reality.

OK, I have yet to see any post this stupid on S2. Perhaps I was enamored with their hard to read comment format for a bit. I did manage to find this gem.

Does Lillard/Matthews/Corey Brewer/Jeff Green/Embiid even win 25 games?

I voted no, but I decided to have fun with the trade machine anyway
Blazers give up: LA, Batum
Blazers get: 2014 #1, Jeff Green, Corey Brewer, Luol Deng expiring contract (exp)

Cavs give up: 2014 #1, Jarrett Jack, Spencer Hawes, Dion Waiters
Cavs get: LA, Kevin Martin, Kelly Olynyk, PHI’s protected pick

T’wolves give up: Kevin Love, Corey Brewer, Kevin Martin
T’wolves get: Batum, Spencer Hawes, Gerald Wallace exp, two 2015 1st round picks

Celtics give up: Two 2015 1st round picks, PHI’s 1-14 protected 2015 pick (15-30 belongs to BOS), Kelly Olynyk, Jeff Green, Gerald Wallace exp
Celtics get: Kevin Love, Dion Waiters, Jack

Cavs, Celtics, and possibly? Blazers starting 5 are all improved and T’wolves actually get something for K’Love instead of letting him walk next year.

Blazers starting 5: Lillard, Matthews, Brewer, Green, Embiid (with great spacing around him)
Blazers next 5 (not bad!): Mo Williams, CJ/Will Barton, Wright, T-Rob, RoLo
