No, you shouldn't. The difference is, I believe you're being sly, cynical, and/or facetious in this thread. The Scripture thread is as serious as they come...and I was extremely clear with you on that.

What it boiled down to was, when you posted the (since deleted) meme, I kind of took it as, "Hey, gang.....if you want to get ABM's goat, go joke around in the scriptures thread! That'll get to him!"

Probably not what you had intended, but I simply wanted to point out to you that I take that thread very seriously, and, over the course of time, had already somewhat weeded out all the nay-sayers who had been posting in there.

Again, that meme was poking fun at you and how you want to post anything you want in any thread but want the Scripture Thread treated differently. Since no one went to the Scripture thread and tried to get your goat I would say that no one else took it that way either. And since you even posted that very same meme in your Scripture thread I would again say that you originally agreed with me and took it as intended.

I just thought it was funny that just a few weeks ago about the seriousness of and how you want religious threads treated but decided to treat this "religious" thread differently.

John, I specifically asked at the outset of that thread, as a matter of respect, that it be kept as a means of encouragement and shared scripture. We already know that there are countless "debate" threads on religion, Jesus, atheism, etc., etc., etc.

I joke around as much (or more) as anyone in this forum. You know that as well as I do. I can take ribbings, as well (A2M comes to mind.)

That said, if someone specifically asks me to respect something that is important to them, I listen, and take heed.....immediately.

When I saw your meme, I simply asked you, in the future, to please respect that thread. It was that important to me. In fact, it was the reason I texted you....as a friend.

I simply asked you, (again), as a friend, to refrain from the jokes in, and about, that thread. If you'll notice in the thread, DaLincolnJones has received quite a bit of comfort from it. My intention all along when I started the thread was to provide kind of a 'sanctuary' for us believer to encourage one another.

When I jest on the board, I try and keep things light...or, at least. in keeping with the humor.

When I text you, it is as a friend. I'm simply asking you to respect my "true" feelings and sentiments....despite any banter we have tossed around on the board.
