Breaking news! Romney's real identity revealed!

Today seems to take an extra amout of right wing proganda to cover up Mitts latest choke fest.

3 of those people have one big thing in common: they focused on controlling the media. Control the media, you control a helluva lotta things.

And one of those guys can't control the media and his bad press gets leaked?

Well, he's going against the guy in power. So, yeah, he's fighting an uphill battle against the dude who has controlled the media for the last 4 years.

For the record, I'm a fan of neither. Despise them both. But it's one of the most intriguing things I've long felt Obama - he has such a control on the media. Anyone with that much power having control over the media is a terrible, terrible thing. Terrifying. That being said, I'm terrified everyone but the wealthy will be screwed with Romney. So with regards to the upcoming election, I'm the kid in class that puts his head down to avoid making eye contact with the teacher, thinking, "Please don't pick me." As a country, we'll be in bad shape with either candidate. Whichever ultimately effects me the least is who I hope wins. That just tells you how sad our politics are.

I'm curious, how does someone control the media?

For the best example, I recommend you study Germany and Hitler's advancement to power.

Except that the media in the US in 2012 is rather different than the media in 1930's Germany, don't you think?

A lot of shit is different between 1930 and 2012. But there's a lot to gain and learn about today by learning about the past.

So you're saying Romney is a "false flag operation"? A poor candidate that the Dems got into the election so that Obama would walk in a landslide?

That can't be, or the candidate would be Rick Perry or Newt or Michele Bachmann or Herman Cain or Santorum. Any of those would have been even more hilariously bad.

Sure, history is good. But you can't control the media today in the same way Hitler did, so I don't think your example works.

It was sarcasm, a joke, being a smart ass, whatever you would like to call it.

Romney was a bad choice, just as the above candidates.

And I used my sarcasm to suggest I know what "false flag operations" are.

no, the burning of the reichstag in order to drum up national support for war

Well, good for you. Without understanding how it worked back then, I don't think you can compare it to today. So I'm not sure how you can say my example doesn't work.

Unfortunately, as I mentioned earlier, I don't give a shit about politics, and I don't care to explain and educate you on this. Nothing personal. I stated my opinion. You disagree - it's totally cool. It's just we're screwed with the current admin, and we're screwed with the potential new admin. So I just don't care. It's clear you're probably more into this whole political shenanigans than I am, and for that, I envy you. I wish I could say I cared more. But the system is so fucked I just can't care.

I didn't misunderstand your post. Your meaning was clear.

Why do you assume I don't know anything about it?

No problem on not wanting to explain your position. As for politics, in my view it is entertaining, not so different from sports, except there are fewer teams and more of the players are insane.

For one, you asked how you control the media. And then you, in other words, simply called me, "wrong". Like I said, I don't really care. I disagree. I'm not going to call you wrong because a lot of it is simply opinion, perspective, conjecture. If you're pro-Obama, you're certainly going to disagree, which would make me "wrong" from your perspective.

Agreed on politics. It's entertaining. But the fact some of us use it for entertaining without really caring about the results is frightening (which is what I do). It's just proof of how ridiculous the entire political system truly is. I find it very entertaining. I just don't have a team that I root for. Ultimately, they're all out for themselves, they're all dishonest to certain levels, etc.

I don't know that I was calling you wrong so much as trying to learn how you thought Obama was controlling the media. But there's no rule that you have to tell me if you don't feel like it. No big deal.
