During the off season there was a lot of talk about how bad our farm system is & I still think it needs a lot of work. But FWIW: here is the home grown talent that is currently on the roster.................

Derek Jeter (1st round 1992)
Brett Gardner (3rd round 2005)
Dellin Betances (8th round 2006)
David Robertson (17th round 2006)
David Phelps (14th round 2008)
John Ryan Murphy (2nd round 2009)
Adam Warren (4th round 2009)
Chase Whitley (15th round 2010)
Preston Claiborne (17th round 2010)

Again FWIW: I don't think we'd be 4 games over 500 without the contributions from several of our younger new comers.

Just to think Jeter could of easily been on these Teams prior to his 6th pick in the 1st round of the 92 Draft:

Astros- picked: Phil Nevin
Indians- picked: Paul Shuey
Expos- picked: B.J. Wallace
Orioles- picked: Jeff Hammonds
Reds- picked: Chad Mottola

Thank God for screwed up Draft Director's and Scouts....
