I use State Farm. They're pretty decent.

As a long time claims adjuster, the only company I do not recommend is Allstate. IMHO, they should be put out of business. Every claims person has a few Allstate stories about how they screw people over.

I feel sorry for you.

They are the only insurance company I know of that actually rewards claims reps for screwing over insureds on claims.

I've only been a homeowner since October. I will probably switch next year.

Nationwide here. They have very good customer service, the couple of times I've had to make contact. No homeowners claims yet however.
