Take it for what it is........

They don't have team needs figured in until after the draft lottery, so this just means that 3 out of 4 people consider Alex Len the 10th best prospect in the draft

Alex Kennedy is a former S2 poster; it makes sense he'd go with Zag's choice. :ghoti:

I have a feeling these guys know the teams needs regardless of where they are picking don't you think?

I would be pretty happy to come out with Len.

So how will this effect Meyers? Will they compete together? Will we trade Meyers for a SG?

I think you keep both. Start the better fit and have the other as a backup. Two centers is not a lot.

If it's between Len and Meyers, then you start the one with the best defensive tools.

Things can change quite a bit in the next 50 days, but it has looked for a while that a center may be the BPA at 10. Not happy about it but there is a good chance we go big. So if we don't trade the pick, I say make the best of it and keep them both. We need three centers IMO on the roster.
Even if we only use two.

It just means we can only sign one defensive minded Vet instead of two.
It will hurt next year, but maybe better in the long haul.

Unless we win the lottery, I think we're moving the pick. So really this is all moot.

Only if we can get a piece that really helps us now. I have some doubts about that. If we can't get real value for it, then Len could be a nice asset to have.

Does Len play defense?

The only center prospect in the draft whose defense seems to be talked about is Dieng.. Can any of the other ones play it?

This could be Lensanity all over again.....or not.

I do find it somewhat interesting that Len went to Maryland, and one of the teams we mention most as a trade partner also resides in that area. Could it play a factor? If the guy is any good or if he sucks, you would think the Wiz would know either way. Let's hope he showed a lot of POtential.

He averaged 2.1 blocks in 25 or so minutes. Not too bad. Rebounds relatively well.

Draftexpress has Shabazz dropping to 10th for us.

I would be ecstatic if we got Shabazz at 10.

I don't think Meyers has much trade value, so getting a quality SG is out of the question. You have to keep him and hope he pans out.

Paul Pierce was the #10 pick. We can get a HOFer with this pick!

...the real Mick Zagger?! :dunno:

Still can't believe that little shit, who was tweeting out about knowing Lillard in his Weber State days, started out making really dumb posts here and getting press credentials from us on s2(/JBB) to interview Dwight. Props to Alex (aka Swish)... dude's come a long way...

Who the fuck is that guy? He used to post on here?

He is a steal at 10.

Agreed... Olshey better be all over that like a hobo on a ham sandwich, if Muhammad were to drop to #10 (unless, of course, something crazy happened & Oladipo were still on the board, too)!

My draft day pipe-dream would be for Olshey to snag Oladipo (McLemore, Smart, Porter, or Muahmmad) and then secure a later first rounder to grab Gorgui Dieng. That'd set us up pretty nicely heading into free agency, in my opinion.
