A spokesperson for the Denver highway safety authority (HSA) has confirmed that Peyton Manning has broken both of his legs in a traffic altercation. He has been transported via ambulance to a local Denver hospital for treatment, and the full extent of his injuries are not known at this time, however, both of his legs were visibly broken and not life threatening according to sources.

The accident involved a 2012 BMW driven by Peyton Manning and a 76 year old female driver in a 2010 Audi. The driver of the Audi was issued a citation for failing to stop at a red light before striking the vehicle driven by Peyton Manning at a high rate of speed.

Team spokespersons could not be reached for comment at this time.

Thanks for that, Denny.

Heh. I would have thought it'd be all over the sports news sites. Nothing. A little digging and I found that link, and several others.

I'm glad you broke the news, and I'm glad it's not true :)

Why exactly does it say ALLSTAR under ABM's name?

I'll tell you why.....it's because when I post a thread.....whether it's horse crap, or not.....you're automatically compelled to click on it. Yet another reason why I'm handsomely compensated as part of Denny's staff.

PS: Denny, Storyteller told me a story today about the time you and him met-up during a summer league game and I think it was Mitch Kupchak sitting just a few seats away....not that that's a big deal or anything.

There are so many hoaxes nowadays that I just about always check a more trusted site. If its a sports story, I go right to ESPS'S, until I see it there, or some other reputable spot, I don't put sock in it. It's up to the individual to ferret out the truth.

Not just Kupchak. Several of the big name GMs and coaches were there. LMA played on Portland's team. He looked a foot taller than anyone else there. The late and great Maurice Lucas was with the team, on the bench, talking to the guys.

Sergio played PG for Portland's team. I swear it looked like he played in slow motion.

The best player in the games I saw was DJ Strawberry. He literally looked like an NBA player playing among high school kids. It just goes to show that SL performances don't at all translate to the NBA.

We talked a bit about him, as well. Both of us laughed when remembering back, during the 1st M&G, how defensive KP got when a few of us jokingly dissed his boy Sergio.

That, and when BFWA brought up a questions regarding the Early Termination Option (ETO). KP was, like, dyang, you guys know about this stuff?!

Glad you're paying attention. Seemingly, you were getting a bit rusty in your self-admitted older age. ;)
