Hotel in Portland?

I'm staying a night in Portland at the end of the month. What are the best hotels there?

Downtown has high end hotels that are nice...I stay at a Motel 6 close to the Moda Center, food courts and downtown within walking distance...funky old Sushi Bar right up the street but I'm cheap when it comes to temporary lodgings...if you've got the scratch, stay downtown in style dude!
