HOW BOUT THAT CJ

What a surprising and positive performance. The kid is active, that's for sure. He really helped save our bacon tonight. I was loving it.

Yep. He energized a Blazer team that looked resigned to letting Dallas answer every one of it's charges. A couple of those blocks were fucking incredible.

He only played 5 minutes but he was a defensive presence each minute he was on the court.

Chris "Little Camby" Johnson was on fire! :)

Dirk, just now in his post game interview , went out of his way to give CJ props for his impact in the fourth.

Who says you need muscles?? Lemme in there!!

Loved the way he played, wanted to him to stay in a little longer to give LMA more of a rest though.

yeah, very impressed with the kid - he absolutely gave the team a boost when we needed it most.

Is it weird to say that I want to see him play 20 minutes a game for the rest of the series?

Giving him some run against their actual bench would be nice, imho. He still needs to know where to go on offense, and he was a little too eager to block shots which left Dallas available to rebound offensively a couple of times... but he more than made up for it out there with those two blocks and rebounds.

Gonna be on the MSP on 95.5 in about 5 minutes.

Yeah, buddy, CJ looked great. Just the shot in the arm we needed. I had flash backs of Bonzi off the bench in the playoffs as an unknown rook...

You know they dident game plan for CJ, hahaha

PLAY CJ!

I was thinking the same thing. I'd like to see him get a few minutes in the first half, just to disrupt the Dallas offensive flow. Maybe give Camby a few extra minutes to rest and stay out of foul trouble. The Blazers have lacked shot-blocking since Camby got hurt (Marcus still looks hurt but is gutting it out), and the impact of Johnson was immediate.

Speaking of mystery whoevers, whoever is the IDIOT who got rid of Juwan Howard?

When he came in, I will admit it, I was worried. But man did he shut me up. He played great and gained my respect.

This. Carlisle didn't expect Johnson to come in at such a critical juncture and Dallas had no idea how to attack him. That won't happen twice.

There's nothing to gameplan for. Johnson isn't a factor on offense, so they can just ignore him like they did yesterday. His main contribution, blocks, rebounds and hustle, are things that gameplanning won't do much about.

The gameplan is to go right at him and back him down. He weighs less than Armon Johnson. He can't hold position. You can also run Dirk off a pick and CJ will go flying.

Back him down with who? Dirk will obviously go on anyone. Other than that, who else is going to post up Johnson? Haywood, Chandler, Marion?

CJ looks like he definitely has a place on this team. Hopefully Nate gives him a run in game 4.
