I think If the Blazers weren't so eager to to build just from the draft they would be a better team. I really don't like the fact that they have spent almost 10 years from building from the draft and still have very little to show team success.

I think If the Blazers weren't so eager to to build just from the draft they would be a better team. I really don't like the fact that they have spent almost 10 years from building from the draft and still have very little to show team success.

We have been plagued with injuries. And, as Jalen Rose stated during the draft, free agents don't want to come here due to the state income tax and I think lack of a night life for young, rich blacks.

Finally, trades are hard to do when you have so little talent left after the injuries.

So we're in a tough spot and the draft is our best option for now.

Bob Whitsitt thought draft picks are for trading, not drafting. Good teams think the draft is an unimportant day each year. Pritchard treated it like a Christmas each year.
