How to get rid of the worst contract in the NBA

The Nets would include a pick if necessary. The Nuggets have the freedom to resign the young Nenad Krstic cheaply while also deciding to give Magloire a chance or not. They pick up another shooter (at least, one that has started to step it up lately) in Boki, and initially clear 53 million dollars off their cap.

If negotiations hit an absolute logjam, throw in a pick. Heck, make it a first.

I don't think I need to explain why the Nets do this...

Kidd, Carter, Jefferson, Kenyon, Boone? Ha, or maybe a Kidd, Jefferson, Sean, Swift, Kenyon lineup to really go balls-out on the break?

EDIT: oh plus could you imagine Sean learning his game under Kenyon? Giggity-giggity.

Oh there's no doubt its a delicious meal, as a Krstic thats back to form would be great for this team. But if he gets me Kenyon...well, there's no way I can be completely unbiased when it comes to ideas that could get him back. What I can say is that we can't just trade scrubs to get him, it would take some talent (which is where the Serb comes in).

depends. Will he still be a seven foot big man who can hit out side shots and gets abused by the likes of Haslem or will his game rise.

Also will it be for a Nets team with no Kidd or Carter??


We do miss Krstic's game now but it seems the direction the Nets are heading, a full strength Krstic is too late to make any difference.

EDIT: Plus the way that Josh Boone has develop we would only need for Krstic to hit those open jumpers.

I wonder if Krstic was healthier in the beginning would we even be where we are right now. Plus would Josh and Sean even had their chance to display what they can do.

LaFrentz does have a bad contract these days, but when he signed, he was worth the money. I wouldn't say he wasn't that good. He was a C who nailed 3s, blocked shots, and rebounded.

I don't get the deal proposed in this thread. KMart is pretty good if he can play, but the Nets would be extremely thin and would have to pick up a bunch of even worse players to fill roster positions. Denver couldn't keep all those guys so they're worthless in that respect alone.

Actually that's nothing out of the ordinary. The real problem is that filling the team out with fringe players is S.O.P. Billy Thomas, Rod Benson, and Eddie Gill are already some of the ex-Nets (this season!) that would probably be called up.
