I wish he was running for office in my State (NJ). No Nonsense and Straight forward is his mojo.

We can laugh but this is excuse for hundreds of new laws making it harder to vote, closing polling places, replacing election workers with partisan legislatures, Georgia has purged all Black Democrats from election boards, even allowing state legislatures to overturn election results. Plus millions of taxpayers dollars in phony "audits" conducted by Trump loyalists.

Yep. This has always been my stance. I'm fine with requiring voters ID, as long as it doesn't change vote by mail, it's free, and can be issued at any post office in the country.

While we're at it, we should also make post offices function as feeless banks. Check cashing, ATMs, etc. No overdraft fees, no ability to over draw your account. If the money isn't there the transaction simply fails.

In England post offices do serve as banks.
Unfortunately voter ID laws are targeted at keeping wrong people from voting. Alabama passed voter ID, IDs available only at DMV, then closed DMV offices in Black communities. Other states accept gun permits but not student ID or Medicaid card. Even state employer ID is unacceptable.

It will be interesting to see if Georgia goes blue again even after all this cheating and dirty moves by the Republicans, if they do overturn it.

A little off topic but my favorite Rand Paul self unawareness tweet was this

So basically, If everyone contributes a small amount of their income, together we can pool our resources and defeat socialism!

Are the people donating clueless that pooling together and giving him money is socialism, the very thing he claims he is trying to defeat.

The only socialism he wants to stop is giving money to people who actually need it. As long as he is getting the money, socialism is ok.
