If that's the case, wouldn't Portland be a good spot for him this summer? Isn't he pretty much exactly what we are missing?

The only way he'd come to Portland was if he took a large salary cut.

Bullshit!! It's not just about winning. If it were, he'd take a MLE deal and join the Heat or Thunder.

Because its both about winning and more importantly about money - his money - he'll look at S&T deals.

Well maybe winning out of the teams able to afford him?

He is the premier dominant big man of his era, and yet I have little faith that he'll ever win a ring.

He's the new superman. He needs batman to think for him. And to make the justice league complete; he needs batman, robin and the wonder twins to win a title. Maybe lex Luther needs to be the coach

The way I heard it, Aldridge and Howard had a 3 pt contest to see if Aldridge goes to LA or Howard goes to Ptd. Aldridge won, so Howard is coming to Ptd next yr.

It's a done deal according to Aldridge.

Pretty sure that he meant this in the Charlie Sheen sense of "Winning!". Whichever team can give him the most money and get him shacked up with a couple of porn stars has the inside tract to his services.

Take him, you'll be sorely disappointed.

Some people are just not made for the bright lights. His injuries have not helped either.

I think Portland would be great for him paired with our current core. He would have to give up money and live in PDX though.

One could say Howard is sorely disappointed in the Lakers. Howard took Turkoglu and Rafer Alston to the NBA Finals where he set a record for most blocks in a single game. With Lillard, Aldridge, and Batum to play with, we'd be a MUCH better team than this year's Lakers.
