Would you do this deal..
Bosox sending Betts and lefty pitching prospect Jay Groome to the Bronx Bombers for Miguel Andujar, Clint Frazier, and pitching prospects Luis Gil and Mike King.
Groome is coming off Tommy John surgery but the New Jersey product ranks seventh in the Boston system.
Conversely, while I’m big on Andujar and he’ll probably smash Earl Webb’s double’s record with the Green Monster, he is coming off shoulder surgery and the Yankees do have options at the hot corner, starting with Gio Urshela. A ticked off Frazier with the Red Sox would scare me a bit but it would add another layer of drama to the rivalry. Gil is the No. 4 prospect in the Yankees system and does touch 101 mph on the radar gun but still in A-ball. King ranks No. 19 in the system and is the most major-league ready but projects as more of a mid to back end rotation guy.
