I Am Legend Prequel

I personally didn't like I am Legend but i know many people did. They're planning to make a sequel which shows everything before the city was destroyed. I think that would be pretty boring to watch considering you know what's going to happen.

IMO it would be much more interested to see what happens after the movie ended.

If it's a prequel: "I Will Be Legend."

And just fwiw, I've only seen the first 10-15 min of I Am Legend and it was in spanish, so I literally know nothing about the movie.

Those small flashbacks in "I am Legend" pretty much told the tale. Seems pointless to make a prequel. Is Will Smith going to be in this, too?

Omega Man was actually the 2nd movie based off the story. The first was The Last Man on Earth in 1964.

How did you think the Omega Man compared to I Am Legend?

Would you say it would be comparable to the Planet of the Apes movies? I love those. Except for the time I had that nightmare about Apes taking over the world.

Yes, very much in the same league and genre as the Planet of the Apes movies. I've watched all 5 (5?) of them back to back on DVD more than once

Omega Man is horrible. That movie had no redeeming qualities other than it being something easy to make fun of. The enemies are beyond retarded for people that are basically just covered in skin cancer.

Last Man on Earth is also terrible. There is a semi-serious campy feel to the film that is typical to Vincent Price fare but the sequences with him fighting his way through the vampires are absolutely hilarious. He uses pushes and karate chops that wouldn't budge a 90-year old woman on ice skates. At least it is true to the novel.

Another film based off Matheson's book is I Am Omega with the guy from Double Dragon/Iron Chef. It is also beyond terrible, but it's a B-movie so what do you expect?
