Robinson Cano had 7 HRs during ST after needing over 80 games & 300 ABs to reach that total during the season. I said if he keeps this up in the regular season, he's been seeing Cruz's guy. And someone mentioned that the HR output during ST was in all likelihood due to inferior pitching.

Well........................after hitting 2 HRs today he has now hit 4 in his first 3 regular season games. Can't imagine where this sudden power surge has come from. Maybe he thought his numbers should warrant his contract. Stay tuned.

I don't know who's doing that, I'm talking 4 HRs in 3 games for someone who hasn't done that in a very long time, & then added.....STAY TUNED, You probably missed that part.

It could just be one of those mini hot streaks (though you'd have to wonder where its been for the last two years) but we'll see what happens.

FWIW: It took him 71 games before he hit his 4th HR last season. Just saying.

4 HRs in the first 3 games from anyone will certainly get your attention and Cano has usually started slow before hitting his first reg season HR.
He has had mini power surges as recently as last year when he hit 3 HRs in 2 games and 3 HRs in 3 games - and 2013 when he hit 3 HRs in 2 games on three occasions but this (2016) is something "new" for him.
Last three seasons Cano didn't hit his first HR until his 8th,15th and 7th games.

I think being the excellent hitter he has always been, this could be a combination of him really bearing down early to get last year behind him as quickly as possible and few good swings which happen to find the seats. Otherwise, he could just be on his way to having possibly his best year(?).

Ron I was going to post this today. His fast start (4 HRs & 7 RBI) in his first 3 games was just that because since than (5 games) he's 2 for 20 with no HRs & no RBI & is only batting 180 on the season to date (7 games) with a .229 OBP. SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I might have over reacted just a bit early on.
