I hit a bobcat Sunday night.

Getting into another bar room brawl with Charlotte fans, eh?

Seriously, though, is the bobcat ok?
Nope. Killed the shit out of it. Literally. Big fucker ran right out in front of me. I was only doing about thirty MPH, and I barely had time to step on the brakes.

Dammit, dammit, dammit.

Photos? I dont think we need to see pics of a dead bobcat.

the only concern I would have is the damage to your car. The Cat population is getting out of hand.

I just found out that the pelt could be worth several hundred dollars, dammit!

No damage to the car...

kind cool. You don't see Bobcats very often. They're rare

A word to the wise. I understand it's a pretty big deal to take it for the pelt, unless you have the tag. (Furbearers lincense, I think.) If you approach some generic taxidermist to mount it, he's likely to freak out if you don't have the tag.

In the mid-90s I and another car smashed into a cougar or bobcat who was sauntering across the freeway. There were small pieces of flesh all over the cars. The cat didn't realize how fast the cars were coming at him.

Wookee has been hitting on cougars for years with no success, I applaud him for trying something different.

Never read sly's posts while drinking coffee. You'll have one big mess to clean up.

A taxidermist came and snagged it before I realized the value. Maybe I can extort a C-note or two out of him by threatening to report him to the authorities?

not really..now that dogs are not allowed to hunt them they have had a dramatic increase in the population. Where they once stayed in the more remote areas, they now encroach on city limits and often hunt domestic pets. I even caught a piece on OPB that almost all of the killings that are being blamed on wolves and such are actually Bobcats and Cougars. Also related there have been sightings of cats stalking hunters as well as others in the Eugene to Brownsville area.
