Tonight's headline News in sports is that basketball player Jason Collins made history tonight by signing with the NBA Brooklyn Nets. As the 1st openly gay player in sports history. Which I've gotta say.........BULLSHIT! He came out last April & actually played in the NBA last season with the Wizards & the Celtics. So how the hell is he making history tonight. Makes no sense at all.

This doesn't need a whole lot of responses especially from grandstanding Denny & his two new pals. I'm just making an observation so PLEASE, keep your shirt on.

So far so good Rick. I agree with the timeline you had on Collins. Interesting call on sports radio today when I was driving up to Fort Laudedale, the caller said this about Sam. I have no problem with him being gay, and he says he is just a football player, but every chance he gets he interjects the Gay issue. I for one applaud his courage and wish him well. But you can't have it both ways. You can't say you only want to be seen as a football player and in the next breath bring up the Gay in the locker room issue.

Don't care for basketball (NBA or college hoops), but wasn't it after the season or was he injured for the remainder of that season?

The last game he played last season was April 17. & they said he came out (closet) in April. So if anything we're talking days. (give or take)
