He gave his cell number on his Twitter page. I called it expecting it to be a joke and he actually answered. I'm like "Hey, is this Marbury?" and he's all "Yeah, what up?" We talked briefly and I said I was chillin out here in Portland. He's like "Oh really?" and I said "Hell yeah, you should sign with the Blazers." (Please don't kill me, I was bewildered and couldn't think of anything to say) Then he's like "Aight peace, keep it real dawg. Much love." and hung up.

Interesting experience.
 
haha....too funny. might be a google voice or some other thing. shit ,I have like 8 phone numbers for myself.

I saw Alice Cooper at the movie theater one time (fucking Blueberry Nights!, my wife made me go...) I said "hey Alice Cooper!" and he smiled. I don't remember what I said after that but it was meaningless. What do you say to a celebrity you have no interest in????
 
Well that is his official Twitter page, and knowing Marbury it was probably him. He sounded pretty real to me.

I feel the same way. I was sitting right in front of Ime at the Vegas Airport waiting for a flight back to PDX, and was watching a DAL/DEN game (the one where DAL got screwed) on my laptop. Dude looked completely disinterested. I just gave him a head-nod because I had no clue about what to say.

My brother and a friend ran into David Cassidy in Vegas, and asked him for an autograph. Nobody had a pen, so DC offered to get up from his table in the restaurant and borrow a pen from the waitress. He walked about ten feet towards the waitress, and my friend said "nah, that's okay, never mind" and walked away, lol...
 
That is awesome and I totally believe it. I remember once, somebody on this board or BBF gave out his number during a heated discussion. I called him. That was hilarious.
 
If he was streaming (which he probably was), your phone conversation was probably on video, broadcast to 1,500 people.

Which probably means the newest rumor on ESPN today will be "Portland shows interest in Marbury"
Sources claim Portland has reached out to Marbury, or someine in his camp. Terms were not discussed. It was more of a feeling out contact, but sources feel that a deal between the two could be done any time.

I did a movie with Peter Frampton. He's a musical genius, but I don't listen to his stuff. So I had to continuously try to draw attention away from the fact.

Jerome sat behind me in church a few weeks ago. Didn't get a chance to talk to him though. Pretty cool to see him in the area. Is he still working for the Blazers?
 
oh, i don't have any google voice. I have 2 vonage numbers, a cell phone, skype, 2 yahoo voice and then my work numbers. i'll get another one for google voice though!
