but it keeps reminding me just how long I've been a fan of the team, and how I don't like being reminded I'm old.

Sheed/Rider/Sabonis/Damon/Grant what a squad

Even though I wasn't a huge fan of Rider (he was just a knob), I have always felt that the 99 team was more organic and real than the 2000 team.

Rider had so much talent. But dumber than a rock

It sucks when you don't have Comcast and can't watch the replays!

You should look into youtubetv. It's on that.
I have access to watch on my comcast and YouTube apps, but I live and die by the DVR. I just can’t sit down and watch a game til the family is all asleep. Had Directv for like almost 20 years. Just a slave to it.

youtubetv has a dvr set up (tho it's a little clunky) and it has unlimited space.

On the downside though, it only lasts 9 months.

Ya, tried using it. I lucked out and have a couple friends gave me their passwords. I have access to a friend of mine from work who lives in NYC..... said he'd get busted if his wife found out he gave his password out. Like once every few weeks I record some soft core porn on late night Cinemax!!!!! He always texts me a middle finger whenever they see it on his list of shows! HA!

Finally found a good project for me. Going to start converting these old games off VHS to MP4 . This is the first batch. I have a huge IKEA tub full of tapes.

I was going to ask where all your Lakers tapes were, but then I realized you must've lovingly had them converted to SuperVHS and then LaserDisc and then DVD and then BluRay years ago. Imagine losing that!

That team also had
Stacey Augmon
Jimmy Jackson
Walt Williams
Greg Anthony
And that's not even mentioning Jermaine O'Neal and Bonzi Wells, who didn't get to play. Or the mighty JOHN CROTTY.

It was STACKED.

Too soon.
The more time passes I think that'll be the closest I ever see the Blazers to a championship. I was pretty young in the Drexler era and while I remember it, it's vague enough that I don't think I quite understood at the time how close they were. (I was 7).

Yes, we are are becoming what I like to call "moldy oldies". Some a little more oldie, some a little more moldy!

I started watching the Blazers the season after they won the championship. Before that, at 12 years old, I didn't even know Portland had a basketball team.

I've enjoyed watching these games as well. Been a fan since the 70's. But IMO, i prefer today's Blazers way more. More skilled. These Blazers in this 1999 Jazz playoff game look so stiff. Can't shoot, can't shoot freethrows. Pretty ugly. Plus they aren't as likable. Wish we could have watched young Arvidas because in 1999 he was so stiff because of his knees. It's hard to watch. He lumbered alot on defense. Great passer, decent shooter. I think Duck was a better all around player than Sabonis. Only Sabonis' passing really impresses me. I'm sorry, i just didn't enjoy this pre- Jail Blazers era as much watching it again. Just not very fluid. Also Nurk has so much potential going forward. I believe when it's all said and done, the two best centers to don the Blazers colors will be Bill Walton and Nurkic.

The current team ,once healthy ,has a chance. Don't ever give up hope. Go Blazers!!

My word, the game tonight is the 96 team, game 3 against the Jazz. I forgot how ugly that team played.

I forgot that that year the Blazers had Cliff Robinson, Rumeal Robinson and James Robinson.

Such a bad team that year.
