I agree. We are without our second or third best player, and our best defender and still we have managed to get to conference finals and stayed competitive in the game last night. I'm confident we would have won with Nurk in the team last night and would have probably made the entire series competitive.

Being one of the 4 best teams in the NBA is a huge achievement, make no mistakes about it. You can have a great season without winning the title and we are making steps in the right direction.

We have elevated ourselves to a much higher level this season and let's build on that going forward.

Awesome post and I agree 500%. I seldom if ever post in the game threads, but might cruise through them after the game and it's embarrassing how some of these fans react to every single play and how they treat certain players.

I’m at my neighborhood STARBUCKS right now and have had 3 or 4 people come up and just go off at how horrible last night was and how it has ruined there day today and this and that. Maybe if I didn’t have so much going on in my life, I’d have the time to freak out more. Ya, I was frustrated after the game, but the FAMS sat down and played some UNO at the kitchen table, and things were all good. And as far as the game threads go, thats no man’s land for me. The problem with the game threads is that it's easy to get caught up in all the negativity with the main instigators getting the rest of masses fired up. There is no way I could ever enjoy a game if I was reading that BS while the game is going on. There are plays in all games that I like and there are those that I don;t like, but I have no control over it so I root the team on to do better but also keep a level head and don't take it personally how the game is going and trust me, I hate to lose as much as the next guy but have learned to contain and control my emotions. Blazers are part of my family and no way would I ever speak about anyone in my family the way some of those posters talk about our coaches, GM's and players.

We could be talking about the Blazers being on the verge of winning a championship. Instead we're talking about whether or not everyone should be happy to receive a better participation trophy than normal.

In the playoffs it is critical to take care of the ball. In the opening minutes of both game 7 versus Denver and last night, Aminu passed up an open 3 only to drive and get a charge call. I just looked up stats for this year's playoffs for 3pt% when there is no defender within 6 feet. Aminu is shooting 27.8% in those circumstances with an average of 2.7 wide open attempts per game. That is awful and it kills our offense when his defender can go help or trap elsewhere. I've been with @KingSpeed in the past that he's actually been decent in the playoffs but this year has been brutal.

As for Stotts, he's had his best player get trapped in the playoffs for 4 seasons now. This is the 3rd time playing the Warriors in a playoff series. It's frustrating to see that the same issues are still plaguing both the offense and defense. Yes, I realize they are champions and have one of the most talented rosters ever, even without Durant and Cousins, but I also see that the Blazers could in fact be hanging with them. The Blazers are a talented team! Especially with the additions this season, I actually think they can hang with GS which is why I have gotten pretty upset.

For me, realistically I have never thought we could hang with GS ,in this conference finals, as I've been convinced for a couple years that GS is almost unbeatable.
Ive been since day one and have had many ups and downs but Im a fan because I enjoy the game and NBA and college ball.
It gets frustrating to see us so close, and I too get pissed about certain players and strategies, but, Ive been impressed with this teams grit and the organization ability to improve each of the last fours years since the big change. I have never felt we would be contenders with AFA & Mo starting as our forwards. Its been a fun ride though, and I am optimistic we can still win a few games against these guys.
Im really looking froward to the next couple years also.

I usually watch the game half hour after it starts. Because of this, I'm not in the game thread. Last season I was a part of most of them.
