so ive got grand turismo, nba 2k7, juiced (pretty good racing game), crash bandicoot and simpsons road rage and hit n run, ive gotten pretty sick of them all so i need suggestions for a good game.

Guitar Hero 2 or God of War 2 are my recommendations.

If you want a unique story and playing experience you should get Shadow of the Colossus. The low price tag should influence you for that. God of War is also a nice beat em' up game, only with more detail and style. Can't go wrong with the best playing football game in the world either, that being Pro Evolution!

Also try out the TimeSplitters series. Some of the best FPS games out there. You have a lot of control and editing options that aren't rediculous to manage. You can basically create a nice little map for MP mode and just go all out with whatever weapons you want in there. You could also go into high detail and create your own mind numbingly difficult story mode missions. Go for TS2 and more notably TS Future Perfect. Both games will give you hundreds of hours of playing time. Great games and at a low price.

thanx for the suggestions but im a pascifist and really dont find any plesure in war games and violent games. does anyone know of any good new basketball games other than 2k7.

God of War 2 isn't out in Australia yet. It's out later this month I believe.

TS is really a game for laughs, you won't see the bloody violence like FPS have. Most basketball games today really blow, especially on current gen consoles so I donno what to suggest for that. Pro Evolution is probably the best I can recommend for a sports game, but I don't know if you're into the sport.

If you're into sports games, I would recommend any game from the Fifa series (I love the EA Fifa series and have yet to try the Pro Evolution series). I have Fifa 07 on the computer (don't know if it's available for PS2 though), and the game is simply amazing in every way. If you're into soccer, you should pick up the latest available version for the PS2.

The NHL games from EA are also fun, but I doubt you're into hockey, and also doubt you'd want to spend $30 or whatever PS2 games are nowadays anyways.

If you're into adventure types, Prince of Persia is a great series to get into.

Def Jam fighting games are also reccomended although you stated you're not into violence and all; the game is quite entertaining. It's pretty much like Street Fighter...only with rappers and wrestling moves

And if you want a long game that'll drag out but yet is still entertaining, I would reccomend anything from the Final Fantasy unit.

Future Perfect is probably one of the best FPS I've ever played.

Tekken 5 is a great fighting game.

FIFA is amazing if you like soccer games, Pro Evolution is even better.

Call of Duty 3 is good too.

There's loads of great games, just browse around in a video game store and you'll find tons.

i think that ill buy a FIFA game, which is the new one, whats it called?

Agreed! I dont have a PS2, but Tekken are good games.

Why pass up the best playing footy game in Pro Evo and play FIFA?

^^^

Exactly! Fifa is great, but Pro Evolution is the best hands down.

Just get a PS3, they are going to stop making ps2 games anyway. I personally play NBA street homecourt and NBA 2k7 for sport games.

Yeah it is great. You can tell the guys from GoldenEye 007 worked on it.

Pro evolution is way better, Fifa is retarded.

Okay fine ill get pro evolution, man you guys really didnt want me to get fifa, lol, anyway, whoever suggested i get a PS3, if you can come all the way over here to australia and hand me 1000 dollars, then i might buy PS3, but until that day i dont think its gonna happen, i mean which 17 year old can buy a PS3 just like that? come on, its 1000 dollars, what a waste of money. eventually ill get one, but not for that much money, its a rip off, why not wait a year, then they'll be down to 300 or 400.

Yeah I agree, all consoles are a waste of money the first year or two IMO. Most of their best games are already on PC and play better on there anyway. Two years down the road the prices will drop and there will be better games out. Also, even me at 23 years old, I wouldn't go and pay that much money for the console. I don't care what the heck is on it.

Definitely a good choice going with Pro Evo. I'm sure you'll love it, even my buddies who don't like the sport love this game because of the action. Great control, decent graphics, but a lot of customization and game options.

When I saw the game thread, this was first game to come to my mind. It's hella fun once you start getting the hang of it and stuff

The multiplayer is ungodly entertaining too. I loved playing it, even if I was by myself. Nothing like 300+ kills in an hour. Haha, I remember playing with my friend that always smokes me in Halo, we played an hour game with no kill limit and with max amouont of CPU opponents, the closest guy to me was over 100 kills behind me. It was nuts. I didn't die for the first half hour of the game, and only died twice total.

Yeah, I'm pretty good at the game myself. It would be cool to face against you since you wrote that you're so good at the game. I believe you no worries, but it'd be cool because I don't find much competition myself. Or better yet, find a two-on-two tourny and be on the same team and stomp everyone else for the prize.

TS reminds me of GoldenEye 007 a lot. Mostly because it was developed by some of the same guys.

I was more into the control style for GE though, I totally dominated that game. I won a tourny back in the late 90's and totally stomped everyone that faced me. I was thrilled because I came in thinking "hey I'm good at this, but the older guys are going to kill me in this thing." Totally different scenario in the end. Pretty funny story too, PM me if you want to know more about it. But again though, it'd be cool to face you, but I don't have Internet for my PS2.

One member on this forum has faced me in GoldenEye before.

It'd be way cool to face off, it's ufortunate that I don't currently own the game though. I had it on the XBox a while back. I've looked into the idea of buying it on the PS2 though, it's only $10 at Best Buy. And we would most certainly stomp on people....once you give me a week to play the game again, haha.

Definitely pick it up on PS2. I also got it at a low price, but I went to Fry's Electronics.

Yea, I don't have a Fry's anywhere near me, so Best Buy is my best bet typically.
