Would love to trade for him, actually.

I wonder if he could effectively play 3 (ala, say, Cliff Robinson) on a regular basis?

He basically is a three at this point ... minus the speed and ability to defend there. The guy can get hot as hell some nights, but there's a reason Skiles in Milwaukee didn't want him back and that's because he basically gives no effort on defense. I'd have to pass.

The critique against him coming out of college was that he tends to coast and shows disinterest. When he really puts himself into a game he can be very effective on offense and a shotblocking threat on defense, but it seems that he's not committed to doing so every night. Especially not if he's a backup for Aldridge or whoever.

I could be mistaken, but he sure appeared to provide a defensive effort during the latter stages of last night's game. Tonight, I want to go back and re-play the game and focus in on what all went wrong for the Blazers.

Start him @ 3, then.

I'll have to go back and look but I'm pretty sure he only came back into the fourth quarter after momentum had swung the Pistons way (because of Summers, Stuckey and Bynum's trapping and pressing). He did hit a big three to tighten the game to a 3 point margin with something like a minute to play, but I don't recall his defense having much to do with the Piston's success at all last night. But like I said I'll probably go back and look at the play-by-play to see when he came in.

Regardless, I watched several Milwaukee games last year on league pass because I was interested to see Ramon Sessions and Charlie V did not leave much of a positive impression on me.

I'm sure you're right. I was just basing an opinion from these few games this season.

The Pistons just signed him to a long-term deal this past summer. I really don't think they would want to part with him.

It's what the Raptors did with him early on in his career and while he's capable of doing it, he tends to drift out on the three point line on offense and become invisible on defense. His ballhandling is just average so I'm not sure where the advantage to having him at small forward lies other than adding extra height to the starting lineup.
