The Idaho Stampede (6-0) defeated the Delaware 87ers (2-5) 127-108 in the first ever meeting between the two teams.
Pierre Jackson led the Stampede with 28 points, seven assists and seven rebounds. Rich Howell (19 points, 12 rebounds) and Dee Bost (14 points, 15 assists) each had a double-double. Idaho had seven players that scored in double figures and received a season-high 51 points from the bench.
The 87ers were led by Kendall Marshall's 22 points and 15 assists. Aquille Carr added 22 points of his own off the bench. Norvel Pelle (18 points) and JR Inman (15 points) also contributed in the loss.
After falling to an early four-point deficit, the Stampede took the lead back and led 31-25 after the first quarter. Idaho led by as many as 25 points throughout the contest and shot 49.5% from the field. Delaware struggled to keep the score close while being outrebounded 57-39.
The two teams square off again tomorrow night at the Bob Carpenter Center in Newark, DE at 5 pm (MT).
NEXT HOME GAME- The Stampede will host the Texas Legends at CenturyLink Arena on Friday, December 27 at 7 pm.
