...by the government, please put that at ease. If it's been typed, blogged, instagrammed, texted, voiced, fingerprinted, whatever...Uncle Sam and your Big Brother got your back.

FBI: "We'd love to investigate this matter further, but the texts got deleted and we can't recover them. Sorry."
Media: "Aren't you the FBI? Can't you reconstruct things?"
FBI: "Totally our bad on this one, but there's nothing we can do."
(two days later)
Inspector General: "Uh, we used 'forensic tools' and got that shit. Thanks."

And with all of that stored and searchable, they can't verify the Trump Dossier, nor can they find any proof of conspiracy between the campaign and russians.

To add to that, there clearly are (leakers!) people who have access and incentive to get all that out into the public record.

You make a good case for viewing the special counsel investigation as bogus and unnecessary as it's only possible intent is to do harm to the current system.

Ignoring the factthat you have attacked the poster, rather than the post, can you expand upon your statement? It seems to me that the people in this thread have a reasonable grasp of the situation.

I am more on than off.

Because I'm sick of people like Denny, Marz and the other crotchety ol' racist of the board spouting off Fox News bullshit. Yesterday FN was nothing was "secret society" bullshit from these texts and guess what...it was a fucking joke. Now, not even a word or retraction from Fox News. It isn't a news network, its a propaganda network for the worst President in US history. I can understand if you don't like/trust democrats or republicans or any party...I sure don't. But, IMO, not admitting that this administration has diminished the office of the President and our country as a whole and not being able to admit that electing this man was a mistake is a sign to me that you are unintelligent and someone I have 0 respect for.

It's not a republican or democrat thing, I understand HRC was a horrid choice. But if you don't think voting for Trump was a mistake then you are exactly what I said in the post edited by Sly...a moron.

Although I agree with the bulk of your post, I would not refer to Denny as racist. He is a confused libratarian but has not presented himself as racist.

I have to give it to you, you managed to hit about every Leftist point of division. You classify half of the voting population as being, racist, old, uninformed, lairs, unintelligent morons....

Let me guess, were you one of hillerys speech writers? Or do you work for CNN?

Kind of disappointing, I was looking for more than ANTIFA laced leftist bumper stickers.

I apologize if it seemed like I was calling Denny a racist. He most definitely is not. I am blanking on the other posters name.

I'm neither republican or democrat. I vote with my common sense and my own thoughts, not by party. But even I could see from a mile away during the campaign that Trump was selling nothing but lies. Go ahead and call me what you want, I don't care. Any political post I've made on this forum has echoed the same sentiments. I never said people who voted for Trump were morons or racist. But in my day-to-day life, I view people's opinion's on Trump as a modern day intelligence test. I could care less if you voted for him, but if you are not AT LEAST having second thoughts about it now, then I instantly lose respect. Those people that aren't having second thoughts? Those are your morons and racists.

Ha! Well good day Freak!

Now tell me which race you think you are? I want to see if I should add you to the schedule.
I'm a middle-class 27 year old Caucasian. Like most of the normal (KEY WORD) people of my generation, I am fiscally conservative and socially liberal. Maybe this country will have a chance once your GET OFF MY LAWN/THEY TOOK OUR JERBS generation is out of political positions...but I doubt it.

Well, he failed to list the big group, the deplorable's.

Oh, did you hear Home Deport is giving out tax cut bonuses?
Wow, a large corporation is giving out bonuses to pander to the President? These bonuses are short-term. They pay for themselves in good republican press. If this tax-reform was truly a win for all of this country then it would result in increased wages, not bonuses. Trust me, I'll be saving on taxes next year so I don't mind it from a personal point of view. But overall? I think it's a reform plan that is based off an old-school train of thought (trickle down economics) that I don't really believe works in this day and age.

When did you see it fail?
I just don't see the logic behind it. Say a middle-class business saves $10,000 do to the new tax reform. That would be awesome! But guess what? As part of "simplifying the tax code", many expenses are not deductible anymore. For example, entertainment expenses are no longer 50% deductible. Let's just say conservatively for a company that amounts to $3,000 a year. Savings are now down to $7,000. What do you think that business owner is going to do with the rest of the money? Give out raises or bonuses? Maybe, but not likely. Depending on the size of the company that raise/bonus may deplete the rest of those savings. More likely is the owner of that business is pocketing that $7,000 and placing it into his bank account or savings where he/she MAY buy something in the future.

This is an enormous tax-cut....where do you think the money is coming from to get this budget even close to balancing? I understand the thought behind trickle-down economics, but I don't think it's going to apply or have a large enough impact to spur the growth needed to make up for this cut.

Let us get to the simple logic. The US had the second, maybe third highest business tax in the world. Then look at the list of US companies that have moved elsewhere. The list is very long, and then look at those that remain but no longer manufacture here.

Now if your hypothetical company owner takes his saving of $7000 and stays here because it is not worth it to relocate operations, then we win. Year after year. When he spends the $7000, we win some more.

If we also stop flooding the labor force with more people than we can employ, then wages will be force up and workers win. When this same owner gets sick of the high payroll, and automates the shit out of his company, we win, or some of our countrymen do, because the business was here to automate.
More wins.

You invalidate your post by contradiction alone.

Those of us that voted for him will do so again in 2020. Odds are that he is a two term President.

This is not the result of taxes, primarily. This is the result of lower labor costs elsewhere.

If we also stop flooding the labor force with more people than we can employ, then wages will be force up and workers win.

Except that then the wage disparity is even bigger, so the owner is more likely to offshore his company.

When this same owner gets sick of the high payroll, and automates the shit out of his company, we win, or some of our countrymen do, because the business was here to automate.
More wins.

Automation equipment can be imported or exported. It's a win if the automation equipment is made here, not so much if it is installed here.

Gosh barf!

I think you are getting it!
Multiple factors involved, but only if you have the business here. You have to keep up.

If Trump is a two term president, it will have nothing to do with him being a good president.
As he's had over a year, and I've yet to see anything different from the previous administrations.
It will be for a couple reasons.
1. The opposition party puts up another candidate like Clinton... Or even Clinton herself again.
2. Both parties continue with the one-ups man ship. Which forces young people to tune out, as we have zero interest in playing 'whos more corrupt'.

Some people have figured out how to keep young people from showing up to elections, and the last election both parties did a prime job of it.
They've also figured out young people would rather make a difference in their immediate communities. Than deal with adults acting like children.

I respect your opinion, and agree with much. Where I differ is that the administration, by design, has perused a far different path than we were traveling down. The success that this has brought about to this point should continue through his first term if he continues in the same direction. In my opinion, that should be what earns him the next election. Of course, if the Dems promote some clown, it would be a given.
