Chad Ford said before the draft that KP's real target this off-season was Kirk Hinrich.

With Ben Gordon signing in Detroit, how likely is it now that Chicago deals Hinrich?

Btw, Jason Quick said that the Portland/Philly sign-and-trade is not going to happen.

Miller or Hinrich would be quite acceptable to me. I'm wary of Kidd declining precipitously and not at all interested in Bibby.

Sessions remains #1 among plausibly available point guards, but I think he's quite unlikely at this point.

I don't see Outlaw and Blake being enough to get Hinrich. We'd have to give up Bayless or Rudy which I don't think KP will go for.

Getting Hedo will give us playmaking at the 3 allowing Bayless and Rudy to play more at the 1 so I think we'll be ok. Would have liked to get an upgrade at the 1 but if there's nothing available then there's nothing available.

With Gordon on his way out of town I strongly suspect they are going to put Kirk at the two spot as a starter or create a three gaurd lineup with Rose, Salmons and Kirk. I'd call a Hinrich trade a lot less likely today than I would have been yesterday.

I think we just got our "point guard" if we land Hedo; he and Roy will probably be tasked with creating most of the offense off of the bounce with guys like Blake, and Rudy being asked to receive a lot of kick outs and sink the open three pointer, Bayless is an open question, but playing alongside Brandon and a point-forward like Turkoglu, maybe he has more free rein to guard opposing point guards and just attack the basket and not have to set the table on offense ... or at least he has more of an opportunity to grow into the role of a better distributor. I won't be shocked if a trade or a sign and trade is made to add a backup power forward.

At the minimum, I think Travis is definitely on the move, Martell will probably be on the move once his foot heals up (if ever?)

The players I bolded make up a nine man rotation. Point guard still looks pretty dicey (especially in the event of an injury to Blake), but you've still got a lot of length, and a lot of versatile and willing passers from top to bottom. That's a lineup I could live with.

What if we sign Turkoglu and Rudy bitches about wanting out. Would Chicago be interested in Blake, Rudy and Outlaw for Hinrich, Thomas and a 1st? We obviously lose talent wise but we get an upgrade at PG and a backup PF. Plus it would beat losing Rudy to Spain for nothing. Not saying its the best option, but it could be an option.

I think they would jump at dumping his salary for two ending contracts. But Chicago needs a SG and neither Kirk nor Bayless is one. (I would think Chicago would be tired of the short SG experiment) You know they would do back flips to get Rudy. But those numbers don't add up. They need a three way to make it work for everyone.

Someone at Blazersedge shares your fantasy. God it would be nice if we got Sessions instead of Hedo. That would make KP look brilliant especially if we could pry Maxiell away from Detroit somehow or got Kurt Thomas in a Sign and Trade for Sessions.

Would you? Personally I'd do my damndest to move Outlaw while he still has some value and try to get a guy on a modest contract who can provide some emergency depth at power forward ... but I suppose you drafted Cunningham and Pendergraph for that reason

KP has some tough choices ahead in the coming months, but that's why he get paid the big bucks.

I guess it all comes down to how much value Travis currently has. If you can get solid assets for him then sure pull the trigger. But if teams only throw out lowball offers it would be better to hold onto him even if it leads to compalints about PT.
