do they actually have any chance at all considering the deficit and the impasse on transportation funding?


I can't imagine a project like a Moda renovation getting much traction. And if the state won't help, and the city is strapped...what then?
 
Perfect climate for a new owner to consider other cities and what incentives there could be. Its all about going forward and Im not sure this State/City has the "what it takes".

that might be the reality

transportation funding is spread around the state so legislators all around the state can see the impacts of those dollars but still can't agree on any sustainable formulas. It's hard for me to see any way those same legislators agreeing on a Portland-centric package like a Moda renovation. Maybe there's a compromise in there with the state underwriting a major bond issue, but I'm skeptical
