Miami works because LeBron was close with the core of the team prior to joining with them. Melo, Howard, and Harden would be a new version of the Lakers when they had Howard with more flopping and less defense.

It would be hilarious. That is unless they can get their stars to buy into playing together, but that seems highly unlikely with Melo, Harden, and Dwight.

Lakers and Celtics bought superteams that were successful. I think buying superteams gives you the best chance at a NBA title . . . unless your franchise is in San Antonio.

Still, those teams had players that were there and were established leaders or developed within the organization. Kobe, Fisher, Bynum, Pierce, Rondo, Tony Allen, Perkins, etc.

Besides Chandler Parsons what good players have the Rockets developed before the team was formed with the current core of the past two seasons?
