It was Ariza who dove into Smith. I think Ariza probably had a lane violation too, because I think that's the only way that he would have been able to really box Andersen out.

But it's not really a point of contention for Nuggets fans, as that Billups three didn't deserve to count.

Andersen would be a rather perfect backup power forward. Great rebounder, great defender.

Of course, whenever he and Przybilla were on the floor together, Portland would be punting on frontcourt offense completely. But that can easily be worked around by staggering when they're brought on the floor, so that one of Oden or Aldridge is on the floor too.

I think he's going to stay in Denver, but if the Birdman wants to fly, I hope Portland can lure him. Assuming Portland can't get Andre Miller. First string point guard is a more important need to fill than backup power forward.
