Obama waved in our direction as his motorcade was leaving. Couldn't really see him at all during his actual speech though. It was packed, and it wasn't a very high stage. It was a good speech, I don't think he said umm even once, although it was the same as his Virginia speech earlier today. The speakers before him (Judy Baker, Jay Nixon) were rather horrible though. Voting for Baker, but I'm voting Hulshof instead of Nixon.
 
I hear Obama will ban the Bulls from playing in the NBA.

I saw Obama a month or so ago in Manchester, NH. There were a lot of people there but I was still able to get into the front row, and even got to shake his hand, which was pretty cool. It was the day that the big Hurricane hit the Houston area, so he didn't speak for that long, and Biden didn't even come, even though he was supposed to. One of his Secret Service agents was pretty hot, as well. I tried to shake her hand but she wasn't interested.

By the time I got out of class the line was huge already. I waited in line about 3 hours before his speech, and was still way in the back. It was a massive crowd.

For some reason, John McCain is afraid to visit our university. He was in town a week or so ago, but it was just to eat lunch at a restaurant, and they only let a few people pre-selected by his campaign in, I'd assume just the people who are part of his campaign operation here.

The campus Republicans held a "Nobama" rally in speaker's circle (which the 40,000 person line went through). They started with 6 people at their rally. Then it turned into 9 people, with 3 of those people being anti-protestors holding signs saying, "I'm with stupid"...then they of course got in line eventually, and then 3 of the Republicans got tired and left, and it was a 3 person Nobama rally.

That sounds about right. When I was in college, I voted for Dukakis. Man, I miss the days when I knew everything.
