If im going to buy a 360 what acessories/games should I buy to go with it?Whats the cheapest xbox live subscription I can get?Can I use my wireless router to connect the 360 to the internet?Whats the range on those wireless controllers?

Get NCAA Football 2008 and NBA 2K7Xbox live wise, you can get the Silver package, which is free, however you can not play other humans online, you can only download stuff from the xbox live market place (demos and such)Yes, you can use your wireless router for your 360.The range is like 40 feet or something I think..it's far enough.

I'm doing the same thing as RaptorFan.. I think I should get NBA 2K7, College Hoops 2K7, and NCAA Football 08 (I already have Halo 2 for the regular XBOX).

There is no reason to get a basketball game because it will be outdated in two months... You should get a fan, but not an intercooler... You might want to get a rechargeable battery with the cord thing, or just buy rechargeable AA batteries. The only way you can use your router to work with the 360 is if you have another router connected to the modem.

Get the Premium Xbox 360 for $400. It's $100 more but it's all stuff you need anyways and if you don't buy the premium the acessories could cost $200+.

Get: Halo 2, NBA 2k7, Gears of War, and Halo 3 if you haven't saved enough money by November.

Whats the cheapest xbox live subscription I can get?

There's only one plan. It's not too expensive, like 10$ a month.

Can I use my wireless router to connect the 360 to the internet?
You can use your wireless internet but you need a special 360 adaptor.

Whats the range on those wireless controllers?

There all around $50. Just get the one that comes with the premium packag then buy all wired.

By the way, if you can hold out, I wouldn't go out and buy NBA 2k7 at this point. I'd wait 2 and a half months or whatever for 2k8.

If im going to buy a 360 what acessories/games should I buy to go with it?I would get a premium, buy another wireless controller so you have 2, and then get Madden 08 when it comes out, possibly NCAA 08.Whats the cheapest xbox live subscription I can get?A 3 month subscription is cheap, not sure on exact amount. Can I use my wireless router to connect the 360 to the internet? You need an adapter which ranges from like $40 to $100 I am pretty sure.Whats the range on those wireless controllers?Plenty, I can play it from another room.

Make sure you buy the Xbox 360 Elite. I can't wait to get one when I have the money.

if you do get a subscription to Live make sure to buy it in the stores because they give you an extra month for free. They have the 12+1 deals for like 50 bucks. A extra fan is a good investment because 360's are known to die out because of overheating. Though you'll have a 3yr warranty for the red light problem so they'll fix it anyway. As for games, Gears of War is definitely the game to get. Its a little short for single player but if your getting Live then the multiplayer for the game is more than enough to last you.

I'm saving up for the 360 too, I think they have much better games talking non-sports. Yes, I do like sports games but I like to play games like Halo and stuff. So how much better would you guys say a 360 is over a PS2?

I got an IMac computer that has a wireless connection, it's not hooked up to anything my computer just happens to pick up someone else's network and I use it to go online. Is it possible to play xbox 360 with this type of wireless service or do I have to connect it to my phone line?? I'm a little confused about all this router stuff.

I heard that there is gold, silver, and bronze memberships, do they all cost the same? Whats the differance between in an intercooler and a fan?Whats so good about the Eliite one?

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (RaptorFan#1 @ Jul 17 2007, 03:40 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>I heard that there is gold, silver, and bronze memberships, do they all cost the same? The Elite would be a nicer buy, bigger hard drive, it's black, updated, etc.No such thing as a bronze though, seeing as the silver membership is freeGold is worht it though, you can play online. And if you think about it, it's just like buying a game. And it's better than just one game.Fans/coolers aren't necessary, just don't have your Xbox on a warm surface like a carpet and you'll be fine. And don't keep it in a cluttered place.Wireless controllers range from anywhere you'd need it.Go online and look for the best reviewed games. Those are your best bet

Great, so that wireless adaptor can pick up the network that I'm currently using online?

You can still download things though. With Gold, you can play whoever has Xbox Live. The Nyko Intercooler hooks onto the back of the 360. They burn into the 360 which messes it up... Microsoft knows of this problem and will not fix it even if it is under warranty because it is not their product. A cooling stand fan is a fan which makes your 360 stand up vertical. I suggest a cooling stand fan.The Elite is black. It has a 120 GB HD, and an HDMI port. If you will download things from XBox Live, you may want to get the Elite because it has 100 more GB than the Premium. (You can also buy the 120 GB HD alone which costs $100.) The HDMI port can only be used if you have an HDTV with an HDMI port... The HDMI cord also costs $30 at Wal-Mart.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Great, so that wireless adaptor can pick up the network that I'm currently using online?</div>I just remembered, if you don't buy the Microsoft one, then you have to put in a CD and connect the adapter to your router to get the settings right.

On premiums, there is no HDMI port for the cord to go into. For premiums, there are VGA cords, and composite/component cords.

I think you just need the wires for it... why would they not give you HDMI when that's one of their selling point

By the time you buy an 360 with everything you need and to get internet you might as well buy a ps3. I'd say just buy a ps3 now that they only cost 500$.60$/1year internet+ Xbox 400$/batteries for wireless controller per year 60$ = 520$ PS3/forever internet/blu ray player/no batteries for rechargeable controller = 500$

The HDMI connection (only in the Elite) has better picture quality and sound because it is made specifically for HDTVs. You also have to change the settings for it to be in HD. (Settings>Display).<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (7Goat @ Jul 17 2007, 11:48 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>I think you just need the wires for it... why would they not give you HDMI when that's one of their selling point</div>HDMI is only in the Elite. You can get HD without it, but it won't be the best quality. The premium and core do not have the HDMI port.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>By the time you buy an 360 with everything you need and to get internet you might as well buy a ps3. Also, most people don't even use the Blu-Ray player... I find that HD-DVD players and Blu-Ray players are a waste of money because they now have DVD players that will upconvert to 1080p, so you won't have to buy $30 movies, you can just keep the DVDs you have and watch them.Right now though for the price and features, they are both even. I would go with the Xbox though because it has been out longer, has better games, and, as the case in NCAA Football 08, runs smoother. (PS3 runs 30 Frames Per Second (FPS); Xbox runs 60 FPS, which makes gameplay smoother. This is only in NCAA Football 08, but I'm sure there will be more until they can get PS3 games to run at 60 FPS.)

I owned a 360 and never noticed a different in frame rate. I also kind of think Blu-Ray might die though , its not really catching on so far at least. PS3 has free internet forever. If you own a xbox 360 with live for 2 years you already could have had a ps3. PS3 doesn't have as good of games yet but it will in time and right now the games out arent terrible. I remember when PS2 first came out it also had sh*tty games other then a few big titles(ffX,SSX,etc.)
