Lately it seems that every time I pick up a newspaper it says the Yankees have a major interest in acquiring the Rangers SS Elvis Andrus. I don't know what they'd have to give up to get him but here's his breakdown.......

He's 26 years old & due $108M over the next 8 years ($15M from 2015-2020) & $14M in 2021 & 2022 with a $15M club option for 2023.

Here's his history, what do you guys think?http://www.baseball-reference.com/players/a/andruel01.shtml

...well, he's a better option than Drew but that's not saying much...average bat, below average defense.

He also stays healthy & has averaged over 30 SBs a year over his career but, is he worth not only the money but what we'll have to give up to get him?

^^^ I dunno...but the Yanx do have a surplus of catchers.

Have Texas pay a portion of his salary, and I'll sweeten the pot a bit.
He's been a consistent Home/Away hitter and he's been a good consistent hitter w/risp, w/runners on base.
Little power and has lead league in SAC bunts 3x.

Not a very successful base stealer - that's okay,
.."we'll" have him ATT/SB mostly when we're ahead. lol

I've heard he's lost some weight and is kinda recommitting himself to performance.

Still too rich a contract for me.
If I only knew if Drew was close to his old form, I'd prefer Drew-
Still have a feeling Drew can hit double digit HRs playing home games at YS and play good defense.

Not worth a bag of balls unless the only other option is Drew... Just my opinion...

Almost a 75% success rate, I could live with that. But yeah I agree with the contract, not sure he's worth it.
