My computer was on sleep mode and as I moved the mouse the screen was in a scrambled mess!! TheMP3s worked and you could still make everything out on the screen but in an 8-bit warped mess. Graphic card?

Have you reset the "P-RAM"? When you restart; hit "option, command, the letter P and R" until you hear it boot up again. Do it twice.

If it still comes up bad; then go to "software update" and see if there are any updates. Also, use the disc utility to fix the directory.
