Trade Scoot and a pick for Queen. He’s a frieght train. A Moses Malone type.
And we are in need of a Power Forward

Clingan / Williams / Yang
Queen / Grant
Camara / Murray
Deni / Sharpe
Dame / Holiday / Love

Given that they may have given up the top pick in this draft for him, I doubt they'd go for that

I'm a lot more impressed with Jeremiah Fears than I am with Queen. That's not to say that Queen doesn't have upside, but by size and style Queen seems like a PF/C type who doesn't have the skills to play PF, at least not yet

Remember everyone saying we should have drafted Edey instead of DC last year? Yang vs Queen is only first year in. Plus, Queen seems like the injury prone type to me, big body with skinny legs.

Why would the Pelicans do that? Are they trying to get rid of him?

Not saying they are trying to get rid of him. But watching him play the other night, he ran right over Clinghan. We need “tough” to round out our roster

People so quick to dismiss Yang or get rid of him without time to properly develop him.

Queens literally fell off their rotation lol
that's false. He's played in 77 of 78 games averaging 24.5 minutes

he's playing fewer minutes now than earlier in the season. A big reason for that is once Murray came back the Pels went to a small-ball-no-C lineup

Definitely heading to the all star game soon.

It's weird how that is the reaction people give, as if there are only 2 options for him. Bust or all star.

You're the same guy who said Donovan couldn't play more than 20 minutes a night without dying, so....

Yeah I’ve said before how impressed I have been on his development. Doing WAY better than I thought he would be at this time.
As far as Hansen, I was just replying to that guy because preseason he said that’s where he was headed and gave me shit continuously for not thinking the same.

apology accepted.

There is no point in getting rid of him. Nobody would offer anything of value for him. He will be cheap the next couple years so we cross our fingers and hope he develops into a serviceable backup center (yay).

Dismissing Yang and having regrets over other available players that look good that we could have taken(Like Coward and Queen) are not the same thing.

The good news is even if Yang is a bust, we get another chance to make that wrong a right with the Orlando pick we got to trade down.

People rarely mention the first round pick we got with Yang in the Queen trade. I don't recall the specifics. Is it a bad first round pick or something?

I see you called it out already.

It's Orlando's unprotected first round pick in 2028. An unprotected pick has a lot of value... especially from a young team that really sputtered this year in terms of development.

I was excited about his highlights and type of play he did in China and how he played in SL and the way he played in that one quarter of the preseason game and I never said he's going to be an All-star first year, but I was certainly positive and hopeful about him and still am. I don't think he's gotten much of a chance consistently and for long enough time and I have realized he needs time to develop and adjust and doesn't really fit the best on the team in a way suited to his skills and specialties.

I like him as a human being and feel he has great smarts and sense of things and still think he could be a great player. I wouldn't mind him being the backup if we trade RWIII or lose him to injury. More run will help him.

who knows how much value it will have after the NBA gets thru fucking up the lottery chasing after tanking problems that don't exist. Might be more valuable, might be a less valuable. Ironically, this pick might end up increasing in value at the same time that Portland's Milwaukee pick/swaps lose a lot of value. Blazer luck only one step above Buzzard luck?

Orlando had injury problems similar to Portland this season;; may have been worse. Banchero missed 10 games; Black missed 18; Franz Wagner missed 47; Suggs missed 25; Bitadze missed 18; Mortitz Wagner missed 44. I'm not going to do a deep dive on whether those players are injury prone or it' was a storm of bad luck

Orlando is a younger team that Portland. I'm not sure why the Blazers would have upside that Orlando wouldn't
