Projectile struck Mark Cuban in face

lol

The incident occurred midway through the fourth quarter after Cuban had been interacting with the fans in the section behind the Mavericks' bench. Cuban was not injured.

"I don't know what it was, but something hit me in the face," said Cuban, who encouraged fans to boo him more by putting his hand by his ear.

They gave all the fans these noise making paddles and I was telling the guys that if the Blazers got down big these things would fly pretty damn good.

It was likely a mavs fan, but just had bad aim.

:MARIS61:

either that or The Professional Fan.

Hey if you are egging the local fans on, what the fuck are you going to expect. Does he think Portland fans are pussies? I expect some of those lumberjacks to chop his head off. Maybe next time that little punk ass will shut his mouth in our building. He ain't a player on the court.

And for the records, its "IN THE FACE".

Sorry, I don't agree. Yeah, we can laugh but what if someone, maybe a Blazers fan, was seriously injured? It's happened. Do you know that the Blazers could forfeit a game?

Boo, hiss, jeer, trashtalk. But don't hurt anyone (physically). Being the best fans means showing some good behavior as well.

Damn, it wasn't a fan. Looks like Miller pulled out one of his teeth and threw it at Cuban.

Now that is f'ing hard!

i think he could have made a stink if it was actually harmful, nobody here is advocating cuban getting slammed in the face with a brick made of feces, although i would enjoy that

This is why Laker fans love to go to Portland and watch the game. They know that Portland fans won't do shit to them for coming on our floor. Whenever I go to a Laker game at the Staples, wearing my Blazer Jersey, I am constantly heckled and seriously uncomfortable the entire game. They don't like fans of other teams over there. This is what our fans should do as well. Fuck the "proper shit!" This is basketball!

Try getting away with that shit in England at a football game. You may go home in a casket.

Not a brick. That could injure someone. More like a balloon full of feces that would burst on impact. Much safer.

I don't think that there's any place for physical confrontations between fans. Just because England soccer fans do something one way doesn't make it right.

Any time things move from words and booing to something more, there's the chance that something can go really wrong. I don't think that sports should be about intimidating or hurting other fans... it should be able the players on the stage performing or not. Fans can help those players perform, seemingly, but that should be the extent of their direct involvement.

Dropped by Captain Richard of the Blimp Car? "Hey, Cuban, wanna Wells Fargo gift certificate?" (PLOP!) "Courtesy of your Northwest Ford dealers!"

If there had been a really bad call at the end of the game that cost us the game, you know for damn sure all those noise paddles were gonna be tossed on the floor.

Ed, agree, I've been heckled and trash talked plenty and as I said I'm fine with Blazers fans doing likewise, but not physical violence.

A SF Giants fan is still in a coma after being attacked by Dodgers fans opening night. It's not all one way, a Dodgers fan was once shot by a Giants fan. That's not fandom, that's idiocy.

Next game we should all load our guns, meet down on the floor, and exactly halfway through halftime, shoot them up into the air and empty our bullets. Who's with me? No one'll get hurt or confronted. Good clean fun.

Bedge is calling it the Cuban Missle crisis. hehehehe They said a witness claims it was a straw or a wrapper.

It must have happened during a timeout. I was right next to Cuban and didn't see anything. He was definitely getting into with the fans though and egging them on. Him and Joe Khorisani were going at it all night long.
