Inside The NBA: Chuck thinks Warriors will face major problems against Portland.

Fuck Barkley, he's only saying that because he hates the Warriors. He doesn't even know our centers name, but yeah, let's hear his thoughts, for sure.

Still makes his take more valid than Kenny Smith's. What the fuck was he going on about stretch 4s? Who the fuck did he think Chuck was talking about, Meyers Leonard?

I think Chuck said it best back in the day when he said, "I don't care what people think. People are stupid. I'm also a person, so, I don't care what I think."

Neither do I, Chuck. Neither do I.
It was the smartest thing he ever said.

Don't much care for Barkley nor do I agree with lots of what he says. I would not however, call him stupid or insinuate that he's not a smart person.

"What I'm gonna tell my grandkids, way way down the line, I'll say Grandpa does not have a college degree, but he got a lot of people working for him that have em'."

He's smart as fuck, he just wings a lot of shit. Plus he ultimately knows he gets paid for bullshitting about a sport he played. I don't think it keeps him up at night worrying if we agree with him.

I actually like Barkley when he's talking about something other than basketball. When it comes to basketball he's real lazy, but I can't blame him I probably wouldn't give a shit either if I had that sort of freedom.

If Nurk plays and that's a BIG if, I don't think we're fucked as bad as some posters think. With Nurk, I could easily see us winning two games, as Chuck said.

We beat them by 32 during the regular season last year and took one game from them in the playoffs, and led late in two others. Sure, they're a different team with Durant, but we're also a different team with Nurkic. After Bogut went down in the finals last year, their lack of size killed them. We don't have a LeBron, but CLE doesn't have a big man who can score, or defend, in the low post like Nurkic either.

I also think this is where Evan Turner helps. He's been playing great perimeter defense lately. Put Aminu on Durant, Turner on Thompson and Vonleh on Green, and back them all up with Nurk protecting the rim, and we're much better defensively than we were last year.

The Warriors can get pretty casual with the ball at times and it can cost them. That, and their lack of size inside (if we have Nurk) could work in our favor and let us steal a game, or two.

Obviously, it's Nurk thing.

But it's also how much of ignorant Kenny is. I understand that Nurk fever is local thing and he could miss it, but is just plain stupid to say big men gone from the game rite after Nurk scored 33.
I also hope that Dame seen it and he will score 50 in first just for Kenny alone.

It all down to Nurk now.

Honestly I love Barkley
Far and away the best, most entertaining person who talks about basketball for a living. I literally couldn't care less about anyone else who talks about basketball - I can't stand sports radio or any of that bullshit - but I love listening to Chuck.

I think that Barkley's point is well taken, assuming that Nurk is healthy and can play at something approaching the level he was prior to the injury (two pretty big assumptions, but they were built into what he was trying to say). What other team in the NBA has the perimeter guard play of Blazers AND a dominant scoring big man like Nurk? Toronto is probably the closest, with Derozan, Lowry and Valenciunas, but I think Dame, CJ and Nurk are better. The Blazers at full strength would test the Warriors. I don't think that the Blazers will be at full strength and I wouldn't expect them to win more than a couple of games if they were, but here's hoping...
